Bhagavad Gita · Reflection, not recitation

A calm, present voice for the question on your heart. दिशा न दिशि दिशि — direction in every direction.

Bring a real question — grief, a decision, anger, loss of purpose — in text or voice. Dharmica meets you with a four-section reflection grounded in a specific verse, in a calm, present voice rather than chatbot-speak.

Five pillars, one practice

A reflection app, a library, and a quiet companion.

Dharmica is not a chatbot that quotes scripture. It is a small, deliberate tool — five surfaces that meet you where you are and walk you back to the next true step.

Ask & Answer

Bring what weighs on you — in text or voice. Receive a four-section reflection: acknowledgment, teaching, practice, and a phrase to carry forward.

How it works

Four steps, then silence.

Bring the question. Dharmica does the rest — retrieval, grounding, drafting, validation — and returns a single screen you can sit with.

1

You ask

Type or hold-to-speak. The orb listens; nothing is recorded — only the transcript reaches the model.

2

We ground

The crisis gate runs first. Retrieval pulls candidate verses from the bundled corpus — semantic, lexical, and theme-aware — for the language model to consider.

3

We draft

A model composes the four sections. It can only return a verse reference; the shloka comes from the bundled corpus, so fabricated scripture is structurally impossible.

4

You sit

The answer streams in. Tap Listen to hear it spoken aloud, or Practice for the one concrete action. Bookmark the verse; it lives in your Journey.

What an answer looks like

One verse. Four sections. A phrase to carry.

"My father died last month. I can't stop crying. Is this normal?"
Reflection
Grief has its own time, and yours is not yet finished. Crying is not weakness — it is the body completing what the mind has not yet held.
Teaching
The Bhagavad Gita calls this śoka — sorrow that clings to the heart. Krishna tells Arjuna that the wise grieve neither for the living nor for the gone, because the self is older than any single life and older still than any single loss.
Practice
Tonight, sit for ten minutes and breathe slowly into the place in your chest where the grief sits. Do not narrate. When the breath becomes uneven, return to counting. That is the practice.
Carry
"The self that knows itself does not perish when the body perishes."
नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः ।
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः ॥
nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ · na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo na śoṣayati mārutaḥ
Bhagavad Gita · 2.23

The model never writes scripture.

Every shloka you read in Dharmica was written in Sanskrit centuries ago. The model is given a list of candidate verses and returns a reference; the app renders the verse from its own public-domain corpus.

That makes fabricated scripture structurally impossible, not merely unlikely — and it keeps the answer honest to the tradition.

Three companions

Beyond the verse — a chart, a window, a mirror.

Dharmica carries three classical contemplative surfaces alongside the Gita itself. All three compute locally; nothing about your chart, your window, or your archetype is ever sent to a server.

कुंडली

Janm Kundali

A Vedic birth chart rendered from the details you enter on the Personal Profile screen. Read as a contemplative mirror, not a forecast.

मुहूर्त

Muhurta

Pick an event — marriage, travel, a new venture — and a window of dates. Dharmica computes an auspicious window from the panchanga and traditional rules.

त्रिगुण

Personality

A 60-question reflective quiz that maps you onto a Sattva / Rajas / Tamas spectrum and one of twelve archetypes. No scores, no judgement — a mirror.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Is Dharmica a substitute for therapy, medical care, or a spiritual teacher?
No. Dharmica is a reflective companion — it composes a four-section reflection grounded in a specific verse, in a calm, present voice. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice, and not a substitute for professional care. If something in your life is urgent or unsafe, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis line. The crisis gate inside the app is a safety net, not a replacement for human help.
Does the app send my questions to a server?
Only if you choose the Cloud or Auto guidance mode. The question text is forwarded to our guidance server, which calls a model and returns the answer. If you choose On device, nothing leaves the phone. If you choose Your key (BYOK), the question goes directly to your provider — Dharmica does not log or cache it. See the Privacy Policy for the full inventory.
What does "the model never writes scripture" mean?
The shlokas in Dharmica were written in Sanskrit centuries ago. Every verse you read comes from a bundled, public-domain corpus (Besant 1922, Arnold 1885, the gita/gita Unlicense Sanskrit). The model is given a list of candidate verses and returns a reference like 2.47; the app renders the verse from its own bundle. Fabricated scripture is structurally impossible — the model literally cannot output a verse that isn't in the retrieval list.
Can I use my own AI key?
Yes. Settings → Your AI keys supports Google Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint — OpenRouter, Together, Groq, Mistral, DeepSeek, MiniMax, or a self-hosted URL. Your key is stored locally and forwarded only for the request that needs it.
Can I use Dharmica completely offline?
Yes. The full 701-verse corpus is bundled with the app. You can install an open-weight model (Gemma, Qwen, Phi, Llama) and the entire guidance pipeline runs on the device. No network, no telemetry, no cloud.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Privacy → Delete account. Dharmica re-authenticates you, deletes your Firebase Authentication account, logs you out of RevenueCat, wipes every on-device category, and rotates the install id. The whole flow completes in a few seconds. See the Account Deletion page for the details, including how to cancel a paid subscription.
